Ingredients of Phirni Falooda Trifle

  1. Prepare 2 of Mangoes for puree.
  2. You need 2 tbsp of Sugar for Mango puree.
  3. It's of For Phirni.
  4. Prepare 1.5 Ltr of full Fat Milk.
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp of Basmati Rice (Phirni tastes best with Basmati rice).
  6. You need 100 gm of Sugar.
  7. It's 1 tsp of Ghee.
  8. Prepare Few drops of of Rose water or essence.
  9. Prepare as required of Cardamom powder.
  10. It's of For Falooda.
  11. Prepare 1/2 cup of Vermicelli.
  12. You need As required of Water to cook.
  13. It's of For Toppings.
  14. Prepare as needed of Rooh Afza or Rose Syrup.
  15. It's 1/2 cup of finely chopped mangoes.
  16. It's As required of Chopped dried fruits & nuts(used dried Kiwi,Cranberries,Apricot).

Mango falooda recipe is one of the easiest chilled Indian desserts one can whip up during the hot summer season when mangoes are available in abundance. It is a chilled dessert beverage with incredible flavor, texture and color. The authentic or traditional falooda which has its origins in Persia calls for the use of rose syrup, falooda sev or thin vermicelli noodles, basil or tukmaria seeds. The falooda looks super yummy !!! iam a big fan of all your dessert recipes and beverages.

Phirni Falooda Trifle step by step

  1. For Phirni, Wash, Soak Rice for 1 hr and grind to a coarse paste using some milk..
  2. Add ghee in a heavy bottom pan, add milk, bring to boil & simmer on low heat for 10-15 mins..
  3. Add rice paste, stir continuously. Add rose water/essence & cardamom powder..
  4. Cook on low heat till milk reduced to half & phirni has thickened. (Keep in mind, it'll thickened more after cooling too).
  5. Chill it in refrigerator for 2 hrs at least..
  6. For Falooda, boil vermicelli in hot water till cooked. Transfer to cold water & chill it for 1-2 hr..
  7. For Mango puree, Blend mangoes & sugar to make a smooth puree. Refrigerate this also for 1-2 hrs..
  8. Once everything is chilled, we need to form layers to serve it. Basically all these preparations can be kept separately in refrigerator for 2-3 days to enjoy later also..
  9. For serving, first in a glass spread some Rooh afza on sides, pour some mango puree, phirni, falooda, some rooh afza, then chopped mangoes, then phirni, falooda, some more mango puree, last little phirni Or you can do in any order adding all flavours..
  10. Last but not the least, top it with fresh chopped mangoes & your favourite cut dried fruits/nuts. Enjoy..

I have tried most of them and i can never go wrong with them. Iam yet to try your carrot halwa and gulabi phirni and now this goes right to the top of my list.
